Post-conference pelagic excursion

A day trip to view albatrosses and petrels (and other seabirds) at sea off the Cape Peninsula is planned for Saturday 16th, the day after the conference ends.  The cost of the trip (less 15% to cover non-recoverable charges) will be refunded if bad weather leads to its cancellation.  Spaces will be limited so it is advisable to book and pay for the trip early.  Two-way transport will be provided from the Breakwater Lodge to the excursion vessel.  Visit www.capetownpelagics.com for full information regarding pelagic trips and email ross@capetownpelagics.com to make a reservation for the post-conference excursion and to affect payment.

There are many other worthwhile activities for visitors to Cape Town and environs.  Consider a wine-tasting tour to some of the Boland wine estates, go up Table Mountain by cable car, visit the largest African Penguin colony on the mainland at Boulders, view the scenery and wildlife in the Cape Point Nature Reserve or visit Nelson Mandela’s prison cell on Robben Island.  Or just chill out on our beaches and in our restaurants and cafés, or visit our open-air craft markets, shopping malls, museums and art galleries.  Tourist information may be found at www.tourismcapetown.co.za.
