In absential fees
In-absentia posters will be accepted against a reduced registration fee of R 500, to cover poster receipt, erection and return, airmailed programme and abstracts booklet and the conference proceedings. Please complete the normal registration form (CLICK HERE). Then select the 'Posters submitted in absentia' payment option if you wish to pay by credit card, or else download the SWIFT payment instructions form.
Registration
To complete and submit the registration and payment form click HERE. Include your name, postal and e-mail address, and state whether you plan to make a presentation or not, and if so, whether you would like it to be considered for the conference proceedings (see below). If you plan to present, give the title of your presentation as in your abstract (see below) and state whether you would prefer to make an oral or a poster presentation.
Conference fees
Payment should be made in South African Rands (R). Alternatively, payment in other convertible currencies may be made at the prevailing rates of exchange on the date of payment. Click here for a currency converter: www.xe.com.
A sliding scale of conference fees is offered:

*Students paying after 31 May 2008 must pay the normal fee (R 2000).
Fees less 15% to cover necessary bank charges will be refunded to non-attendees up to 30 June 2008 on request, thereafter no refunds will be made.
Partner and daily attendance fees are available on request.
Payment may be made in three ways:
- By credit card. Please note that there is a 6% surcharge for using this method of payment.
- By international wire transfer (SWIFT). Please note that South African banks do not use IBAN numbers.
- By Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) to the conference bank account (for SA residents only).
If you are unable to pay by either of these three ways, please contact the organizers. Do not post cheques without first making an enquiry.
Conference fees will inter alia cover the following:
Venue and audio-visual equipment, internet, abstract and programme booklet, conference proceedings (a special issue of Marine Ornithology is intended), welcome reception and morning and afternoon teas. The closing dinner is an optional charge for those wishing to attend (with or without partners).
